The Story Behind Our Most Popular Paper Quilled Designs

Every piece at Trixie’s Creations has a story to tell, just like the characters they embody! Let’s take a peek behind the scenes and explore how some of our most-loved designs came to life:

The Whimsical Sloth: The sloth was inspired by Trixie’s playful spirit. Much like our three-legged pup, sloths are all about living life at their own pace—full of joy, calm, and a touch of laziness. The idea started with a tiny sketch, where I wanted to capture that carefree expression. After a few attempts (and a lot of tweaking!), I finally got the smile just right. Adding little details like the curling vine and a soft color palette gave it that relaxed, “I’m here to hang out” vibe, making it a favorite among our animal-loving fans!

The Ramen Noodles: This piece started as a quirky tribute to my favorite midnight snack. I wanted to turn a simple bowl of ramen into something vibrant and fun! Crafting the noodles was tricky—I twisted countless coils to get that ‘just-cooked’ look. Adding playful elements like the egg and ‘broth swirls’ made it come alive. It’s a piece that always brings a smile, reminding me that art doesn’t have to be serious—it can be a celebration of the little things, like a warm, comforting bowl of noodles.

Chromatic Symphony: This piece came to life during a rainy afternoon. With a blank canvas and an array of colorful paper strips, I set out to capture the joy of spontaneous creativity. There wasn’t a plan—just an exploration of colors and patterns until each swirl seemed to dance on its own. It’s called Chromatic Symphony because, like a symphony, every color and shape needed to harmonize without overshadowing one another. Each section represents a different mood, coming together to create a burst of vibrant energy!
